The thrill of the beauty purchase

Friends, it’s been a long time.

I’ve been in the beauty wilderness, unsure of what to write next, unsure of which lipstick to wear. I think it’s an inter-seasonal confusion and transition. And I’ve been a little down in the dumps.

However, if there’s one thing that always cheers me up, it’s new skincare. And despite having had a lean few months (new white goods needed purchasing, along with other household expenses), I thought, what better to cheer me up than a fancy new serum?

Overheard on the Shop Floor: Part Three

The last week at work has been very odd; every single customer walking into the department has been mad (as in angry), rude (both types) or just plain confused. Luckily, none of it was directed at me, but unluckily for my wonderful colleagues, they have had to deal with some real corkers.

The conversation I noted down to share with you yesterday was a classic; I have heard many variations over the years but none so perfectly head-scratchingly befuddling as this one.
